Europe, serious case: from Dvorák to Sara Ross

The Orquestra Filarmónica Portuguesa chose Lisbon to debut a musical program that will tour the center and north of the country, visit Faro (in a shorter version) and finally show itself in Berlin: a risky program, with two masterpieces of the orchestral repertoire (the cello concerto by Antonín Dvorák and the Metamorphoses for 23 bowed instruments, by Richard Strauss) and a first-ever piece, commissioned by the orchestra from Sara Ross (b. 1989).
