Last Tuesday, February 28th, a collaboration protocol was signed between the Portuguese Olympic Committee (COP) and the British School of Lisbon (BSL) for the development of activities of the Olympic Education Programme.
“Here is a story that is very inspiring for young people, in the sense of liking sport and practicing sport. I hope that this relationship that we are going to establish with your school will allow them to get to know what Olympism is, but above all that they will like Sport and, above all, that they will practice it”, recalled José Manuel Constantino, president of the COP, to the group of students from BSL present at the headquarters of the COP.
Zoë Hubbard, director of the BSL, mentioned at the time that one of the values developed by the BSL “is fair play” and hoped that the work to be developed together with the COP “could reinforce this value” and help educate students “facing the sport and life with true Olympic spirit.”
