Sobral de Monte Agraço belongs to the Lisbon district, integrated into the sub region of the west and the centre of Portugal

Sobral de Monte Agraço is situated south and west by the municipalities of Mafra and Arruda dos Vinhos, north by Torres Vedras and east by the municipality of Alenquer.

Known for its regional parties like Festa do Pão or Festas e Feira de Verão, there are no lacking motives to meet this typical region of the Portuguese west. Sobral also has several cultural, environmental and gastronomic activities to do on the weekends.

It’s also in Sobral that anyone can know more about the lines of Wellington, the military strategy from the Lines of Torres as a defensive system raised north of Lisbon to protect the capital from 3º french invasion. At the Linhas de Torres Interpretation Center – CILT, one can know more about the region and where the battles against the Napoleonic troops occurred.
