Foundation AFID Diferença launches the “Superheroes without capes” calendar, as a tribute to all professionals who, in an altruistic way, were and still are on the front line during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The calendar counts with the participation of Cristina Ferreira, Foundation AFID’s godmother, as the cover figure, representing all professionals of communication and entertainment who not only inform, make company and distract the whole population, but also gave a voice to all the other professionals who keep helping, daily, the population.
Each month is then dedicated to each one of these professionals. In the calendar appear Foundation AFID Diferença’s employees, professionals from INEM, the National Authority of Emergency and Civil Protection, nursing and health areas, GNR, firemen, professionals from minimarkets and supermarkets, pharmacies, municipal services, medicine, bakeries and, finally, PSP.
“After a year like this, nothing makes more sense than to honor those who, daily, were in the front line, to ensure population’s safety, their healthcare, their physical and emotional wellbeing”, says Domingos Rosa, President of the Executive Counsel of Foundation AFID Diferença.
The photos were taken on real context, by the photographer André Boto, and counted on the availability and total collaboration of all the represented institutions, counting also with Chef Vítor Sobral, as a baker.
The calendar is available on the institution’s head office, on Foundation AFID Diferença’s website and on www.comprasolidaria.pt, for 1,5€, as a donation.
