For the first time, the famous Spanish comedy “The Alcaide de Zalamea” crossed borders to Portugal. The goal of de municipality of Zalamea de la Serena is to promote itself in the Portuguese press and get the upgrade from a piece of regional touristic interest to national interest by the Spanish government.
The presentation took place with the presence of D. Miguel Ángel Fuentes, Alcaide of Zalamea de la Serena; D. José Ángel Benítez Nogales, local development deputy for the Badajoz region; D. Javier Rioyo Jambrina, director of the Cervantes Institute in Lisbon; D. Miguel Nieto, director of the theatre company.
